Zee TV UK hosts exclusive London watch party for new reality show ‘Chhoriyyan Chali Gaon’

In a first-of-its-kind move by any Indian television network in the UK, Zee TV UK hosted an exclusive watch party in Central London to unveil its upcoming reality show Chhoriyyan Chali Gaon (Beauties Goes to Village). Held a week ahead of the show’s official launch, the invite-only preview was attended by over 35 guests from the fields of media, entertainment and business.

The event offered guests an engaging first look at the show’s concept and first four contestants, with laughter, nostalgia, and emotional moments defining the evening. From watching city-bred contestants adapt to rural challenges like fetching water and cooking on mud stoves, to hearing guests share personal memories of Indian village life, the experience struck a deep cultural chord.

Amit Goenka, President – International Business, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., called the initiative more than just a preview, stating:

“This is not just a show — it’s a movement that reconnects our global audiences with the soul of India.”

He highlighted Zee’s commitment to innovation and immersive storytelling, noting that the UK preview reflects Zee’s pioneering spirit in delivering bold and culturally rooted entertainment.

The evening was hosted by Parul Goel, Territory Head of Zee Entertainment UK Limited, and included gourmet starters and light refreshments. Guests were also greeted with a special video message from Mukund Galgali, Deputy CEO and CFO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., India, further underscoring the company's vision of delivering rich, emotionally resonant content to a global audience.

Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive. Many attendees praised Chhoriyyan Chali Gaon for offering something refreshingly different from conventional reality formats, describing it as “real, entertaining, and close to home.” The show was widely applauded for bridging cultural gaps and reconnecting the Indian diaspora with their roots.

Chhoriyyan Chali Gaon will officially launch on 3rd August at 9:00 PM, and is expected to strike a strong chord with global audiences for its authentic depiction of Indian village life.
