On Sunday, police arrested a woman for allegedly murdering her 35-year-old husband.
The deceased’s blood-stained corpse was found at his home in the village under Dablana police station in Bundi district early Sunday morning, according to police, who added that the woman reportedly confessed to the murder and was having an affair with another man from a nearby village. According to the police, 35-year-old Rajendra Gurjar was found dead with deadly wounds with a sharp weapon on his body.
According to Circle Inspector Manoj Sikarwal of the Dablana police station, the offender, identified as 32-year-old Mamta, cut off golden earrings from the body and scattered the household items in the room to project loot.
According to DSP Ghanshyam Meena, the police had first registered a murder complaint against unidentified individuals, handed over the corpse to family members following a postmortem and started an investigation.
The first inquiry focused on Mamta and after she was interrogated strictly, she admitted to the crime, he said. The investigation found that the accused was in an extramarital relationship with another man from a nearby village, which was the cause of their frequent arguments, he added.
