Two saints were beaten to death in Jhunjhunu, investigation underway

The murder of two saints in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, has caused an uproar. On Sunday, several attackers beat the two saints to death before escaping, throwing away their corpses in a field. The police are working to identify and locate the murderers.
As per livehindustan, DSP Nuparam Bhakar stated, 'The incident came to light when unidentified bodies were found in Pachheri Kalan village of Jhunjhunu on Sunday morning. They were later identified as two saints, Giri Maharaj (45) and his companion Gautam Singh (42), who had come to Bhodan Ashram in Jhunjhunu from Bhiwani in Haryana.'
Giri Maharaj got into an argument with a few others on Saturday night, police said. 'Meanwhile, Gautam also reached the spot and saw that the attackers were brutally beating them', the DCP stated. In the assault, both saints died.
Following the murderous incident, the accused took the bodies away and dumped them in Pachheri Kalan's fields. Bhakar further stated, 'It is still being ascertained how many people were involved in the incident. We have identified some people and the car. They probably went to Haryana after the incident. We are searching for them. We suspect that they were members of the Bhiwani-based ashram with whom the victims used to work.'
