Tractor rams into people, 2 dead in Bundi district

A tractor collapsed over a gathering of people on a roadside platform (chabutra) in Rajasthan's Bundi district today (June 7), killing at least two people on the scene and critically injuring two more, according to police.
The people who died were identified as Gopal Rathor (38) and Shambulal Bairagi, both of Labhakho village, and the injured as Gopal Dhakad and Ramshankar Sharma from the same village.
The tragedy happened about 1.30 p.m. on Friday when the tractor driver lost control while attempting to save a motorbike rider and drove over the individuals, according to Anil Joshi, SHO of Dabi police station.
According to the police, two people were instantly killed, while two more had serious injuries before being sent to the MBS Hospital in Kota. He said that following the incident, the tractor driver left the scene.
