Three people died, including a toddler and one was injured after the car they were in hit head-on with a truck before crashing into a roadside ditch in the Raisar region.
The accident happened at about 12.30 a.m., according to Raisar Station House Officer Mahendra Singh Shekhawat.
The victims, who were all related and from Uttar Pradesh, were on their way home from Khatu Shaymji in Sikar when the tragedy happened.
“The car collided head-on with the truck and fell into a roadside ditch. Then the truck also fell on the car. The truck driver managed to flee from the spot,” the SHO stated.
The car’s passengers were Ravi (28), his sister Rinki (24), her husband Ankit (30), and their daughter Devki (3). While Ravi, Ankit, and Devki died due to their injuries, Rinki is now being treated at a hospital. According to the authorities, the corpses of the deceased will be sent to their families once post-mortem examinations are completed.
