Teacher, her husband and a broker arrested for making a dummy candidate sit in the REET exam

The police have detained a broker, a teacher and her spouse in connection with yet another disclosure of fraud in the recruitment of third-class teachers and other competitive exams. So far, 10 people have been arrested in this case. At the same time, the police have received information concerning a paper leak from the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination held in 2022, into which they have begun an inquiry.

District Education Officer Shafab Anjum filed a case against the accused teacher at Police Stations Sajjangarh, Sallopat, and Kushalgarh after obtaining a job as a teacher by having a dummy candidate take the examination. Following this, the first six suspected teachers and one information assistant were detained.

The police detained middleman Sewalal, who made dummy candidates sit in the exam, as well as teacher Savita Dodiyar and her husband Praveen Malvia. Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Agarwal stated that middleman Sewalal contacted local candidates and made arrangements with them to secure them a job by passing several competitive examinations without attending and accepting a significant amount of money from them.

The Superintendent of Police stated that there is still the possibility of arresting dozens of suspects in this case.
