Southwest monsoon set to soak Rajasthan from June 26-28

The Jaipur Met office states that between June 26 and June 28, the southwest monsoon is predicted to arrive in Rajasthan. According to the Met office, the monsoon is most expected to arrive from the districts of Kota, Jhalwar, and Baran.

In several parts of Rajasthan, pre-monsoon rains have been occurring, which has raised the humidity levels. According to the Met Office, this year’s southwest monsoon has already been delayed by about a week.

On Sunday morning, Jaipur had a bit warmer minimum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees higher than usual. With a high temperature of 39.2°C in the afternoon, it was also warmer, though there was some rain in the city. The clouds disappeared during the evening, leaving a mostly clear sky.

The Met office added that Rajasthan would see an above-average southwest monsoon this year.

During the monsoon season, many districts, including Kota, Jhalawar, Baran, Sirohi, Udaipur, Dungarpur, and Banswara, are anticipated to get moderate to high rainfall. In the next 24 hours, Jaipur is predicted to have a mostly cloudy sky, with the Kota, Bharatpur, Udaipur and Jaipur divisions likely to see some light rain.

The highest recorded total was 33.0 mm in Fatehpur (Jaisalmer), followed by 32.0 mm in Galiyakot (Dungarpur), 30.0 mm in Bagidora (Banswara) and Mahwa (Dausa), 28.0 mm in Pratapgarh, 21.0 mm in Nagar (Bharatpur), 17.0 mm in Dhambola (Dungarpur) and 15.0 mm in Sajjangarh (Dungarpur).
