Seven members of inter-state burglary gang arrested along with jeweller

Seven members of an interstate burglary gang were taken into custody by police on Thursday, along with a jeweller from Bhilwara who had purchased the stolen jewellery from them.

Two vehicles were found by the police; one was hired and the other had been stolen from Begu of Chittorgarh. Police also seized gold and silver items and cash worth several lakhs from the suspects.

Sanif Mohammad, a resident of Gegal's India Gate Colony, filed a complaint at the Gegal police station on June 23rd, stating that on June 20, when he was asleep with his family, burglars broke into his home and stole cash and jewels.

Ajmer SP Devendra Kumar Bishnoi created a special team to track down this gang in response to his complaint. The police began gathering information from the local database but discovered that the manner the gang cut the iron rods using a cutter was not the method of local burglars. The team gathered data from many areas and found, through cyber tracking, that the accused were near Pushkar.

The accused were found in a vehicle in Vishramsthali, Pushkar. When the accused saw the police, they attempted to get away by speeding up their car, which overturned in the sand near a village.
