Rajasthan Cabinet Approves Greenfield Airport In Kota, Aero City Project In Jaipur

On Tuesday, July 2, a day before the Rajasthan Assembly session began, the Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma-led Cabinet made a number of important decisions, including the construction of an aerocity project in Jaipur and a greenfield airport in Kota.

State Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore stated, "Aerocity will be built in Jaipur. Cargo service will be started at many airports in the state. Greenfield Airport will be built in Kota for which an MoU will be signed in August. Rajasthan will be made self-reliant in power generation," he added, saying that the state will get investments worth Rs 2 lakh crore.

He also stated that new solar energy technologies will be developed. He said that production will take place on a huge area of 2.5 acres rather than three acres, and that land will be given at 7.5 per cent DLC.

In the state, three flight schools will operate in Jhalawar, Bhilwara and Kishangarh, creating job possibilities.

In addition to Rajyavardhan Rathore, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel reported on the Cabinet meeting decisions made by the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led government.

Deputy Chief Minister Bairwa stated that the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led government is continually working to make Rajasthan a developed state. According to Minister Jogaram Patel, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot urged that Gandhi Vatika be opened for the people as soon as possible during his meeting with Chief Minister Sharma.
