NEET-UG aspirant jumps to death in Kota day after medical entrance results

In the Kota region of Rajasthan, an 18-year-old student who had been getting ready to take the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) to get admitted to undergraduate medical courses committed suicide on Wednesday, according to police.

This is the tenth case of a coaching student taking their own life this year.

The dead student, according to the police, lived in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.

She lived in Kota’s Jawahar Nagar region with her mother and brother, where she had been studying for the NEET test for the last year. Police said the student’s mother was asleep in the room on Wednesday afternoon. Around 4 p.m., she jumped from the window of her multi-story apartment. People nearby took her to a hospital, where she was declared dead upon arrival.

The body has been kept in the mortuary of Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) Hospital for post-mortem, which will be conducted after the girl’s father arrives, who has been notified of the incident.
