ERT commando shot in the head in Jaisalmer, condition critical

An ERT commando was critically injured after being shot in the head in Jaisalmer district, near the Indo-Pak border. He was transported to Jodhpur by ambulance, which created a green corridor between Jaisalmer and Jodhpur.
As per police, while coming from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer by bus, the commando was shot in the head around 20 kilometres before reaching Jaisalmer. Following this, the commando was transported to the Government Jawahar Hospital in Jaisalmer district headquarters in critical condition. After being treated here, the commando was transferred to Jodhpur due to his serious condition. After receiving information about the occurrence, District Superintendent of Police Sudhir Chaudhary, along with ERT officials, visited the hospital and obtained all relevant information.
Dinesh Kumar, the injured commando has been reported to be from Chitalwana tehsil in Sanchore district. Dinesh Kumar has been assigned to the ERT Special Force of the police. To get the police commando to the hospital right away, a green corridor was created between Jaisalmer and Jodhpur and he was transported by ambulance. The District Superintendent of Police, Chaudhary, is also departing to Jodhpur. Four blood units had been provided to the injured commando earlier at Jawahar Hospital.
Ten ERT commandos were reportedly taken to Jaisalmer from Jodhpur in a bus to increase security for the Vice President's planned two-day visit on June 13 and 14. The commando was shot in the bus during this. The reason for the shooting is still unknown.
