"Era Of Loyalty Was Different When...": Vasundhara Raje On Political Growth

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje stated on Sunday that BJP leader Sundar Singh Bhandari belonged to an "era of loyalty" that has ended in politics, with politicians now ignoring their seniors from whom they learned.
Raje made the remarks at a programme in Udaipur honouring the death anniversary of RSS ideologue Bhandari.
Regarding the former governor of Gujarat and Bihar, she remarked, “You all know how many workers Bhandari helped and took them to the top. He held the fingers of so many workers and helped them move forward in their political career."
“That era of loyalty was different. Today, people try to cut the finger which they held while learning to walk.” Along with other BJP and RSS leaders, Raje also acknowledged and lauded former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former vice president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and many others, stating they helped to guide her.
During the event, Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria stopped an old man from garlanding the guests at the start of the program.
Kataria stated that interrupting an ongoing programme to present a garland is inappropriate and should be done after the programme. Raje later met the man, who was also an RSS worker.
