The CBI raided several places of gravel businessman Meghraj Singh Royal (Megharaj Group) in Rajasthan. The CBI raided 14 locations, including the group’s office near the 200 feet bypass in Jaipur. As per livehindustan, these include Meghraj Singh’s residence and office on Chaumun Circle. Raids have also been carried out at Tonk, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur and Nagaur. The CBI team is reviewing the papers found at the gravel businessman’s locations. A large amount of cash and vital documents were found at the businessman’s locations.
As per reports, the Enforcement Directorate has filed a complaint against the gravel trader in the illegal sand mining case. ED officials found several crucial pieces of evidence at the gravel trader group’s sites. After that, the Enforcement Directorate summoned the gravel trader and other members of the group to its Delhi headquarters for questioning.
Many members of the group were unable to reach the ED office. Following that, the matter was transferred to the CBI. For a long period, CBI officers were digging into the matter and keeping a watch on the gravel trader. On Saturday, the CBI searched over a dozen locations in response to the investigation.
CBI is also taking action at a gravel check post in Tonk district. Raids are ongoing at the gravel trader’s office in Banas, Tonk district. Documents are being reviewed at the trader’s office. Documents are also being checked at the office on National Highway. The CBI team is also conducting raids in the Chauth ka Barwara region of Sawai Madhopur.
